There are some weddings that feel timeless the moment they unfold—and Alexis and Tyler’s wedding day was exactly that. Set in the heart of downtown Houston, their celebration was the perfect blend of elegance, history, and personal charm. From vintage details to modern touches, their day at The Crystal Ballroom at The Rice was one for the books.
The day began just steps away from the venue at the Magnolia Hotel, where Alexis got ready in a light-filled suite that perfectly matched the aesthetic of the day. Her glam team, Butter Artistry (@butterartistry), created a soft and romantic look that matched the overall vibe of the wedding perfectly. Throughout the day, Day Of Bestie (@dayofbestie) captured behind-the-scenes moments and personal content, adding a fun and modern touch to their storytelling.
Once everyone was ready, we made our way to the terrace at the Crystal Ballroom, where Alexis and Tyler shared their first look and private vows. The wraparound terrace—with its stunning views of the Houston skyline—made the moment unforgettable. Afterward, we captured some portraits on the terrace before heading off to their ceremony.
Following the ceremony, guests returned to The Crystal Ballroom at The Rice (@crystalballhouston), a venue built in 1913 that still carries its historic grandeur today. With crystal chandeliers, towering ceilings, beautiful murals, it set the stage for a classy evening.
The reception space was adorned with stunning floral installations by The Tallest Tulip (@thetallesttulip), complemented by elevated faux florals from Pink Hour Event Co. (@pinkhoureventco). The mix of fresh and faux blooms created an elegant atmosphere.
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed custom lattes and espresso drinks from Bright Side Coffee (@brightsidecoffeehtx), a unique touch that reflected Alexis and Tyler’s love for coffee. Later in the night, Alexis changed into a vintage wedding dress for the reception—a perfect fashion moment that matched the timeless elegance of the venue. Her second look was right at home among the chandeliers, murals, and floral details.
The party truly came alive on the black-and-white checkered dance floor, anchored by oversized marquee letters spelling out “The Crumps.” DJ Krooks (@djkrooks) kept the energy up all night, mixing classic hits with crowd favorites that had the dance floor packed from the first dance to the last song.
