Kallie and Austin’s summer wedding at The Videre Estate in Wimberley, Texas was the perfect example of everything there is to love about a Texas Hill Country wedding. Located just outside of Austin, The Videre Estate combines incredible Hill Country views, a private lake, beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, and plenty of beautiful locations throughout a wedding day.

Their wedding featured soft spring and summer-inspired florals with whites, greens, and touches of pink—the perfect palette against the natural Texas Hill Country scenery.

The Videre Estate: A Beautiful Wedding Venue Near Austin

For couples searching for an Austin wedding venue that feels like a destination without being too far from the city, The Videre Estate is such a beautiful option. The venue sits on a private 400-acre property in Wimberley with an 8-acre lake and panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

One of my favorite things about photographing a wedding at The Videre Estate is how much variety there is throughout the property. The ceremony, reception, getting-ready spaces, open Hill Country scenery, and lake all give you completely different backdrops without ever having to leave the venue.

Austin and his wedding party got ready in The Stables, which has the character of a Hill Country barn while still feeling elevated and intentional. It was such a fun setting for the beginning of the day before heading over to the ceremony.

A Texas Hill Country Ceremony With a View

Kallie and Austin exchanged vows on The Videre Estate’s outdoor Ceremony Deck, which overlooks the lake and rolling Texas Hill Country.

The view really speaks for itself. Their soft white, green, and pink florals beautifully designed by La Boutique Lauren complemented the landscape beautifully and allowed the hills and lake to remain the focus behind them.

After the ceremony, everyone moved into The Videre Hall for the reception. The space has large floor-to-ceiling windows, so even indoors you still get those beautiful Hill Country views that make the property so special.

Golden Hour Wedding Photos by the Lake

As a Texas Hill Country wedding photographer, this is exactly the kind of venue I love photographing. The property gives us so much variety without having to leave the venue—from the open Hill Country views during the ceremony to the clean indoor light in the reception space and romantic portraits by the lake. At golden hour, the light coming across the property was especially beautiful and gave Kallie and Austin’s portraits that warm, romantic feel I love. One of my favorite parts of Kallie and Austin’s wedding was sneaking away during golden hour for portraits by the lake.

We drove down through the property to the water, where we could photograph them with the lake, rolling hills, and venue in the distance. The warm summer light made this one of the prettiest locations from their entire wedding day.
